SPRING FORTH NOW 2023
For thou hast possessed my reins:
thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made:
marvellous are thy works;
and that my soul knoweth right well.
My substance was not hid from thee,
when I was made in secret,
and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect;
and in thy book all my members were written,
which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.
Psalm 139:13-16
Because God has Mothered us and mothers us we do not have to be afraid and/or allow the guilt and shame of our actions, whether intentionally or not, to overcome us because we are loved by Him through it all. God knew and knows our shortcomings and frailties and despite and in spite of them all is still available to us because He loved us so much that there is always a way of escape; a path to reconciliation, at-one-ment, alignment with His will for our life and life more abundantly. The Psalmist identifies the fact that before we were shaped in our mothers’ womb, God fearfully and wonderfully made us and knew what our life would be yet He has covered us as would a mother giving us a Most Favored Status.
