“WHERE YOUR VISION WAITS – PT I”

Habakkuk 2:1–4 (KJV)

BIG IDEA (For Everybody)

Vision doesn’t show up in chaos or haste.Vision waits in focused spaces—where perspective is higher, patience is practiced, and faith stays active.

Habakkuk isn’t whining. He’s wrestling.He’s not walking away from God—he’s leaning in.

🔭 POINT 1: IN A PLACE OF AN ELEVATED VANTAGE POINT (v.1)

What’s Happening

Habakkuk climbs the watchtower.That’s not geography—that’s intentional positioning.

He steps back to see clearly:

This is focus before feedback.

You can’t see far if you stay low and distracted.Vision needs distance from noise.

Practical Application

Christian: Create space to listen before asking God for answers.

🕰️ POINT 2: IN A PLACE OF ENDURANCE (vv. 2–3)

What’s Happening

God says:

The vision is real—but it’s timed.

Habakkuk is told to carry the vision, announce it, and trust that delay doesn’t mean denial.

Just because it’s slow doesn’t mean it’s wrong.Endurance is part of the assignment.

Practical Application

Christian: Keep obeying even when progress feels invisible.

🌅 POINT 3: IN A PLACE OF EXPECTATION (v.4)

What’s Happening

The world is unjust.The wrong people are in power.The system is broken.

Still—God says:“The just shall live by faith.”

Not arrogance.Not ego.Not force.

Faith here means steady trust and faithful living while you wait.
