“LESSONS LEARNED IN 2025” (PT I)
Revelation 2:17 (KJV)Theme: Hidden MannaFollows: “AT THE RIGHT PLACE AND AT THE RIGHT TIME” Pt. II
THE BIG IDEA
2025 taught us some things the hard way.
This verse isn’t whispering — it’s flashing lights and sirens:“If you’ve got ears, use them.”
God isn’t hiding.Provision isn’t gone.Identity isn’t lost.
But attention, resilience, and freedom determine who experiences the hidden manna.
POINT 1 — HIGH ALERT: GOD IS NOT HIDING, YOU GOTTA WANT TO SEE HIM (v. 17a–c)
“He that hath an ear, let him hear…”
The issue isn’t God’s silence — it’s our distraction.
God is speaking, moving, providing — but only people who are listening on purpose catch it. Hidden manna isn’t hidden because God is secretive; it’s hidden because it’s discerned, not displayed.
Why this matters for everybody:
Life is loud. Trauma is loud. Social media is loud. Survival mode is loud.If you’re not intentional, you’ll miss what’s sustaining you.
Practical Application:
Slow down your intake: Too much noise dulls spiritual hearing.
Check your desire: Wanting clarity matters more than asking questions.
Pay attention to patterns: God often repeats Himself before He raises His voice.
Don’t confuse absence with invisibility: Just because you don’t see God the way you want doesn’t mean God isn’t present.
Lesson learned: God isn’t hiding — attention is required.
POINT 2 — ENGAGE: RESILIENCE IS FORGED OUT OF RESISTANCE (v. 17d–e)
“To him that overcometh…”
Overcomers aren’t people who avoid struggle. They’re people who stay engaged.
2025 taught us this:
What you don’t confront will eventually consume you.
Some battles drain energy that belongs somewhere else.
Not every fight is your fight — but some resistance is shaping you.
Why this matters:
Resilience doesn’t come from ease. It’s built where pressure meets purpose.
Practical Application:
Choose your battles wisely: Ask, “Is this forming me or draining me?”
Face what keeps repeating: Patterns don’t break until they’re confronted.
Stop romanticizing burnout: Overcoming requires rest and strategy.
Stay engaged without being exhausted: Engagement doesn’t mean overextension.
Lesson learned: Resistance didn’t ruin you — it refined you.
POINT 3 — EXPERIENCE: LIFE IS ABOUT BEING FREE FROM YOUR CONTAINERS (v. 17f)
“…I will give him a white stone, and in the stone a new name…”
The hidden manna feeds you.The white stone redefines you.
In the ancient world, a white stone symbolized acceptance, acquittal, and belonging.A new name meant a new identity — not controlled by labels, shame, or history.
This is freedom from containers:Past versions.Survival labels.Other people’s definitions.
Why this matters for everybody:
Life isn’t just about making it — it’s about becoming free while you’re making it.
“It’s not right — but it’s okay. I’m gonna make it anyway.”
Practical Application:
Release old names: Failure, broken, too much, not enough — let them go.
Receive daily provision: Manna wasn’t stored — it was trusted.
Stop living boxed in: Trauma may explain you, but it doesn’t define you.
Accept personal affirmation: Some names God gives are just for you — no audience required.
Lesson learned: You weren’t meant to live contained — you were meant to live claimed.
THE HIDDEN MANNA — THE TAKEAWAY
2025 taught us:
Pay attention — God is speaking.
Stay engaged — resistance builds resilience.
Step into freedom — your identity is bigger than your containers.
Hidden manna still falls.New names are still given. And overcoming is still possible.
If you’ve got ears — hear this:You made it through for a reason. And what fed you quietly last year will sustain you openly next season.
