I Corinthians 12:9

Faith is a gift, not a flex. I Corinthians 12:9 (KJV) reminds us that even faith itself is given by the Spirit, meaning no one gets to boast in what heaven supplies. Knowing Your Blindspots means admitting when confidence starts to sound like self-credit rather than gratitude. A life anchored High And Lifted Up understands that every spiritual gift flows from God’s generosity, not our superiority. For Black people who have had to cultivate strength in the face of adversity, this truth keeps resilience rooted in grace rather than ego. The same Spirit that gives faith also distributes healing, wisdom, and power for the common good. Let every generation walk boldly in their gifting while staying humble enough to remember who placed it in their hands.
