The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD and he delighteth in his way.

Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand.  I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken,

nor his seed begging bread.  He is ever merciful, and lendeth; and his seed is blessed.

Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore.  For the LORD loveth judgment,

and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off.  The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever.

The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment.

The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide.

Psalm 37:23-31

Your steps are not random, and your story is not slipping through God’s hands. Psalm 37:23–31 (KJV) declares that the steps of a good person are ordered by the Lord, even when stumbles happen along the way. Knowing Your Blindspots means refusing to label a fall as a failure when God calls it formation. The righteous may bend, but they are not abandoned, because their foundation is rooted in something High And Lifted Up. For Black people who have walked through unstable seasons with steady faith, this promise reminds us that setback is not the same as being forsaken. The Word in your heart guards your mouth, guides your decisions, and steadies your direction. Let every generation trust the ordering, rise after the stumble, and keep building with confidence that God is shaping every step.
