SERMON TITLE: Inside of Your Fears Lies Your Hidden Manna Pt. II
Texts: Luke 24:49; Acts 2:1–4 (KJV)General Theme: Hidden Manna
💡 BIG IDEA:
What we fear most—waiting, uncertainty, stepping into the unknown—is often the very space where God sends power, purpose, and presence. In other words, your Hidden Manna—your breakthrough, your growth—often lies inside your fear.
🔑 SERMON POINTS & PRACTICAL APPLICATION
1. FACE YOUR FEARS (Luke 24:49)
“Tarry ye… until ye be endued with power from on high.”
Explanation:Jesus told the disciples to wait in Jerusalem. That city represented trauma, risk, and fear for them. But He told them to stay there—because God’s promise would meet them right in the place they wanted to run from.
Practical Takeaway:
Young people: Facing fear at school, with friends, or in identity? Don’t avoid it—invite God into it.
Adults: The place that scares you—whether emotional, financial, or spiritual—is likely the place where God is growing you.
Everyone: Don’t flee from fear. Stay still. Wait in prayer. That’s where your strength is coming.
2. FLOW IN YOUR ASSIGNMENT (Acts 2:1–2)
“They were all with one accord… And suddenly…”
Explanation:The disciples weren’t just waiting—they were united and expectant. And right in that unity, the Spirit flowed in like a rushing wind. Flow isn’t forced. It’s the natural result of alignment with purpose and community.
Practical Takeaway:
Young people: Find your rhythm with people who build you up, not break you down. That’s where your flow is.
Adults: Let go of control. The Spirit flows best when we stop trying to force things and simply show up with faith.
Everyone: Surround yourself with those who agree with your growth. Get in position—and let the Spirit flow.
3. FUEL YOUR ATMOSPHERE (Acts 2:3–4)
“They were all filled with the Holy Ghost…”
Explanation:When the Spirit came, it changed the atmosphere—fire appeared, voices lifted, and people were empowered. Your environment changes when you allow God to fuel it with His presence and power.
Practical Takeaway:
Young or old: What music, voices, messages, and people surround you? Fuel your space with what lifts your soul.
Christians: Keep your space prayer-soaked and Spirit-filled. Speak life into the room.
Non-Christians: You may not call it the Holy Spirit yet—but you've felt when something powerful fills the air. Lean into that.
🪞KEY TERMS:
Full: No lack. Nothing missing. The Spirit comes to complete you.
Accord: Agreement. Harmony. When hearts align, heaven responds.
Cord: Multiple strands woven together. Your strength is multiplied when you're connected to others.
Flow: Movement. Energy. Outpouring. Not something you control—but something you allow.
🏁 FINAL THOUGHT:
What if the fear you’re avoiding is the very room where God plans to meet you? What if the thing you dread is really the doorway to your next level of strength, joy, and spiritual identity?
This week, reflect on:
What fear do I need to face instead of flee?
Am I flowing with God’s rhythm—or fighting it?
What’s fueling my atmosphere—and what needs to change?
