And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.
What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:28-31
Some of us are still trying to make sense of the pieces, wondering if anything good can come from what we’ve been through. Romans 8:28–31 (KJV) pulls our Focus higher, reminding us that God is already working the whole picture together for good. To live High And Lifted Up is to trust the purpose even when the process feels painful. For Black people and our communities, this is a word of assurance: our story is not random, and our suffering is not wasted. When your Focus locks onto God’s calling, fear loses its grip and confidence takes its place. If God is for us, then every obstacle becomes temporary. Let this truth steady every generation, lifting our eyes and strengthening our steps forward.
