Don’t work yourself into the spotlight; don’t push your way into the place of prominence. It’s better to be promoted to a place of honor than face humiliation by being demoted.
Proverbs 25:6-7 (MSG)
Ever notice how rushing to the front often costs more than it gives? Proverbs 25:6–7 (The Message) invites us to stay Focused on wisdom, not optics, because real elevation can’t be forced. To live High And Lifted Up is to trust that timing matters and that God sees you without you having to self-promote. For Black people and our communities, this is freeing truth: we don’t have to scramble for seats when our value is already established. Focus keeps us grounded while God handles the positioning. When your hands are busy serving faithfully, your life speaks louder than any title. This word spans generations, reminding us that quiet confidence often leads to the most meaningful elevation.
