SPRING FORTH NOW

I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.

Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;

Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power;

they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow. Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?

I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

The beast of the field shall honour me, the dragons and the owls:

because I give waters in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert,

to give drink to my people, my chosen. This people have I formed for myself;

they shall shew forth my praise.

Isaiah 43:15-21

When I was a child, there was a popular toy called Jack-In-The-Box. The toy consisted of a box with a crank on the side, once the box opened while turning the crank to its maximum level, Jack would pop up, surprisingly and looming large. The surprise and looming largest of Jack remind me of the promises of God for our lives, our required expectations to Receive New Life. As we work our crank, the calling God has placed on our lives, surprisingly and looming large will be the abundance of life promised. Surprisingly because Jack, our new life, takes us by surprise how and when God moves us into our new life but also looming large because the new life is exceedingly, abundantly, more than we can ever ask or think. Therefore, when we choose to work our crank, our field, we position ourselves for the revelation that God is bigger than He was; we see that God does not have to come in a certain way or do it as He did it before, we let Him out of the box to operate in His fullness. As we see God in His fullness we realize nothing can contain God, not even His own footsteps, thus we understand that God is moving and we can chase Him and in chasing Him we walk right into revelation after revelation of the fullness of His power operating in our lives. Operating in the fullness of God’s power continues to position us to Breathe: New Life and in so doing we can continuously burst forth in God’s generosity, life and life more abundantly, in and through all of our experiences.
