But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins. Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

Matthew 1:20-23

When you are in a position in which you Lift Up Your Head, you can now see and thus decrease, if not eliminate, the fear of the unknown.  Not being able to see can and will keep us in positions of submission and vulnerability to the chaos and challenges of our lives.  Spiritually and physically, Lift Up Your Head to see God and seek His face, for wherever you are and for whatever reason, you find yourself there, God is there to provide you direction and guidance, your gift that keeps on giving so that you can Open Up The Way to His promises being made flesh, real in your life.  The coming of the Messiah, the Anointed One, Christ’s pathway went through the overcoming of laws, customs, traditions, and even fears because Joseph chose to lift up his head, conquering it all, including his fears, and seeing God’s plan to Open Up The Way to His Word being made flesh, real.
