“SI: Spiritual Intelligence – PT I”
Isaiah 55:6–11 (MSG)Year Theme: HIGH AND LIFTED UP
BIG IDEA
Spiritual Intelligence is the ability to seek God, think differently, and live purposefully.
It means taking responsibility for your spiritual growth so your life rises above fear, confusion, and limitation.
When you grow in Spiritual Intelligence, you begin to see life from God’s perspective instead of just your circumstances.
1. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR A TRANSFORMED LIFE
(vv.6–7)
What’s Happening
Isaiah invites people to seek God while He can be found. This requires repentance—changing both behavior and thinking.
Transformation begins when we stop blaming circumstances and start returning to God’s direction.
God’s mercy is not limited—He is “lavish with forgiveness.”
Cliff Note (Plain Talk)
Growth starts when you take ownership of your life.
Practical Application
Christian: Don’t just believe in God—actively seek God.
Non-Christian: Personal growth requires honest reflection and change.
Gen Z / Millennials: Accountability is power, not punishment.
Black Community Word: Our liberation includes healing our thinking, habits, and direction.
This Week: Identify one habit or mindset that needs to change—and start replacing it.
2. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY TO ELEVATE YOUR THINKING
(vv.8–9)
What’s Happening
God reminds us that His thoughts and ways are higher than ours.
Spiritual Intelligence requires learning to think beyond:
fear
ego
short-term reactions
cultural limitations
Elevation begins in the mind.
Cliff Note (Plain Talk)
If your thinking doesn’t grow, your life can’t grow.
Practical Application
Christian: Study God’s Word so your mindset aligns with God’s perspective.
Non-Christian: Challenge assumptions and expand your perspective.
Gen Z Word: Upgrade your mindset before you upgrade your lifestyle.
Families & Professionals: Strategic thinking creates better decisions.
This Week: Ask yourself, “Am I reacting emotionally or thinking wisely?”
3. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR PURPOSE-ORIENTED ACTIONS
(vv.10–11)
What’s Happening
God compares His Word to rain and snow that water the earth.
Rain never falls without producing something.
Likewise, God’s Word always produces results when it is applied.
The Word has an assignment.
Cliff Note (Plain Talk)
Purpose grows when truth turns into action.
Practical Application
Christian: Don’t just hear the Word—live it.
Non-Christian: Knowledge only matters if it leads to action.
Gen Z Word: Information without application is just noise.
Black Community Word: Our faith has always produced resilience, innovation, and hope.
This Week: Turn one insight you’ve learned into a practical step.
BIG PICTURE TRUTH
Spiritual Intelligence means understanding that God’s Word shapes life.
Like rain watering the earth, truth produces growth when we allow it to work in us.
Even in difficult seasons, the promise remains:
Better days are coming.
FINAL WORD
To transcend means to live above what tries to limit you.
That happens when you:
• Seek God intentionally• Elevate your thinking• Act on divine purpose
Spiritual Intelligence is not just knowing God.
It’s living differently because you know God.
And when you do, your life rises high and lifted up above circumstances.
