“So now I charge you in the sight of all Israel and of the assembly of the Lord, and in the hearing of our God: Be careful to follow all the commands of the Lord your God, that you may possess this good land and pass it on as an inheritance to your descendants forever. “And you, my son Solomon, acknowledge the God of your father, and serve him with wholehearted devotion and with a willing mind, for the Lord searches every heart and understands every desire and every thought. If you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will reject you forever.

The power of recognition of God as our Father coupled with our willingness to serve Him gives us direct access to the fullness of God’s presence, power, and promises fulfilled, the blessings of God. Embracing God as your Father acknowledges you are His child, thus His offspring, and the holder of His legacy, and as a result it is God’s good pleasure to pour over you, not just the tangible blessings of life and life more abundantly, but the wisdom, insight for conquering life and its challenges. It is for the wisdom of Solomon that history has recorded hIm to be one of the wisest of humans, far outstripping his legacy of untold wealth, all rooted in His recognition and service to God His Father and seeing himself as God’s offspring, holder of His legacy, thus walking in a Most Favored Status.
