And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel; Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
Acts 1:10-11
Today, we remember the assassination of Martin Luther King, Jr. , 50 years has passed and we must ask of ourselves are we there yet or are we yet gazing in the sky for the work he Engaged. Often we find ourselves in states of shock because of the realities of our lives and it leaves us stuck, gazing, amazed at the state of affairs. It is in the intersection of our lives that where we stand, what we do makes the difference. In the struggle for equality and justice we must not remain stuck gazing but instead Engaged. Engage the situations of your life for the good, whether you stand at crisis or triumph, advance toward the life and life more abundantly. Anything and everything that would hinder the well-lived and joy filled life promised urges you to Engage for the purposes of moving forward continuously and to avoid paralysis. Go forward and Occupy Your Promise pass the experience of what appears to be death and even the triumph of resurrection, there is yet more. God promised for your life, for all of our lives exceedingly, abundantly, more than. Engage and move forward releasing your promised abundance in your life and all life, restoring and resurrecting God’s intent for all!
