What God did in this case made it perfectly plain that his purpose is not a hit-or-miss thing dependent on what we do or don’t do, but a sure thing determined by his decision, flowing steadily from his initiative.

As we choose to inhale the oxygen of God’s Spirit, HIs promises for our lives, we send it forth throughout our being to bring to pass the actions necessary to conquer what is our circumstances in order to live in the new life God has prepared.
