Cast thy bread upon the waters: for thou shalt find it after many days. Give a portion to seven, and also to eight; for thou knowest not what evil shall be upon the earth. If the clouds be full of rain, they empty themselves upon the earth: and if the tree fall toward the south, or toward the north, in the place where the tree falleth, there it shall be. He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap. As thou knowest not what is the way of the spirit, nor how the bones do grow in the womb of her that is with child: even so thou knowest not the works of God who maketh all. In the morning sow thy seed, and in the evening withhold not thine hand: for thou knowest not whether shall prosper, either this or that, or whether they both shall be alike good.

Eccelesiastes 11:1-6

What if Discerning The Holy means trusting God enough to sow even when you cannot see the outcome? Ecclesiastes reminds us to cast our bread upon the waters, to give generously, and to keep sowing because we do not know which seed will prosper, revealing that holy discernment often requires faithful action in the face of uncertainty. What is High and Lifted Up is not waiting for perfect conditions, but moving forward with wisdom, courage, and trust that God is working beyond what we can see. For a people whose ancestors planted seeds of faith, education, enterprise, and community without knowing if they would personally enjoy the harvest, this passage reminds us that every act of faith has the potential to bless generations. Dream Big, because some of the seeds you plant today will grow into opportunities, breakthroughs, and legacies far greater than you can presently imagine. Decide To Become someone who refuses to be paralyzed by fear, knowing that overanalyzing every cloud can keep you from embracing God's possibilities. Demonstrate Your Power by sowing kindness, investing in your purpose, building your community, and taking faithful risks, because those who trust God enough to plant in faith will see their lives rise High and Lifted Up.
