But without thy mind would I do nothing; that thy benefit should not be as it were of necessity, but willingly.

Philemon 1:14

We as disciples of Christ are called to have the mind of Christ. To have the mind of Christ requires our diligently pursuing and embracing an intimate relationship with God. The more we are intimate, spending time with God in conversation (prayer), study of His Word, and Worship both in our personal and collective lives, we become one with Him transforming both our heart and thus our thinking and actions to that of God. As we have the mind of Christ we think and act in ways that gives, the Power Of Giving, rooted in the understanding and joy of God’s giving to us His love and grace, favor. As we realize the fullness of God’s love and grace in our lives we are compelled in our spirits, both our heart and thinking, to return God’s giving by pouring out to one another and all of God’s creation. The pouring out may be complicated because of the flesh and our own natural desires to satisfy and do what is only good for us but because of our relationship with God, we are positioned to Catch The Wind of God’s Spirit to bring our flesh and natural inclinations of self desire to conform and pour out abundantly and unconditionally God’s love and grace to all. With your mind be transformed to the likeness and will of God to give, Catch The Wind and spread God’s love and grace everywhere, willingly and heartily glorifying God with our being and everything we have!
