DAILY MEDITATION

For all things are for your sakes, that the abundant grace might through the thanksgiving of many redound to the glory of God. For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory; While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

II Corinthians 4:15-18

During this season of thanksgiving, we are challenged to reflect on life and find within all of its challenges and struggles an attitude of gratefulness. Depending upon where you are on your journey it can be difficult, often appear impossible to find your space of thanksgiving. If life in your recent activities has appeared to be on a down swing or even in a stalled, meantime status, it is hard to see, understand, and realize a sense of gratitude, although you believe and have hope. It is at the moments of a lack of seeing, feeling, and realizing an attitude of gratefulness that we must grip our expectations of life and life more abundantly, a hope in the midst of our wilderness and desert experiences, the downs and meantimes of life. Gripping our hope reminds us that despite and in spite of the down turns and meantimes of life, we have the assurance of resurrection power found in our faith, not because we deserve it or earned it but instead because God has willed it, the grace, the favor of God in our lives that makes us strong in the weakness of our flesh, capacity, and experiences. The redounded grace, favor is not of us but of God and toward the fulfillment of HIs purpose and plan for our lives, our expectation, hope of life and life more abundantly in all things. The redounded grace of God renews our strengthen to get up from our situations, looking to God, in which we have the power to do all things, even that which we cannot imagine or ask, fueling our relentless hope, expectation of overcoming and inheriting all things. Choose to LIVE through your down turns and meantimes with an attitude of gratefulness for in it God is risen and makes real His command to be Fruitful and Multiply in all things. Experience and embrace, an attitude of gratefulness, God’s redounded grace, favor despite and in spite of the circumstances resulting in a renewed strength, fueling relentless hope in which we press forward to the higher calling, God’s purpose and plan revealed in our lives!
