SPRING FORTH NOW
Pharaoh called in Moses and Aaron that very night and said, “Get out of here and be done with you—you and your Israelites! Go worship God on your own terms. And yes, take your sheep and cattle as you’ve insisted, but go. And bless me.” The Egyptians couldn’t wait to get rid of them; they pushed them to hurry up, saying, “We’re all as good as dead.” The people grabbed their bread dough before it had risen, bundled their bread bowls in their cloaks and threw them over their shoulders. The Israelites had already done what Moses had told them; they had asked the Egyptians for silver and gold things and clothing. God saw to it that the Egyptians liked the people and so readily gave them what they asked for. Oh yes! They picked those Egyptians clean.
Exodus 12:31-36 (MSG)
As we walk in and enjoy the freedom God has given to us, we must realize that our freedom is not just about us being free from people, place, and things but also free to them as well. God has created opportunities for us in the challenges of our lives to be His witness; to be His visible walking around presence in the world. Therefore, as we engage and go through life we are not just free from all things, we too are made free to all things to reveal the presence, power, and promises of God. In our flesh it is natural for us to be at odds with that which cause our containment and/or separation from God’s promises for our life and life more abundantly, however, because of God’s abiding Spirit in us, we are empowered to reveal His love and power, even when we are at odds. Our witness of our freedom is not to laud over and or get back but instead to turn the light on and reveal God and His mercy, life, and favor in which He so willingly offers unto all who would believe. We should be careful that in our release, being set free from whatever existed in our lives, we do not turn around and be captivated and controlled by the hurt and suffering caused as a result of our containment and/or separation. God’s Spirit intents for us to be free and free indeed; free from whatever existed before and yet free to scatter the darkness, turning on the light of God to that which was so that it/they too may come into the light of God’s truth, our ability to Tell It. Catch The Wind of God’s Spirit and be free; showcasing God’s mercy, your abundant life amid your challenges, and His favor revealed through the works of the people, places, and things that served as containers and/or separators from the fulfillment of God's promises in your life!
