Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?
Jeremiah 23:29
God’s Word will break what comfort has tried to protect. Jeremiah 23:29 (KJV) declares that His voice is like fire and like a hammer, confronting blindspots we polished instead of repenting from. Knowing Your Blindspots means allowing the heat to refine and the hammer to reshape what pride tried to preserve. Nothing about this process is random; it comes from a place High And Lifted Up, where truth is not softened to spare our feelings. For Black people who have learned to be strong in the face of everything, this Word reminds us that strength also includes surrender. Fire purifies what fear concealed, and the hammer releases what stagnation held in place. Let every generation welcome the holy disruption, because broken chains make room for bigger dreams and bolder faith.
