Jesus answered them, “Do you finally believe? In fact, you’re about to make a run for it—saving your own skins and abandoning me. But I’m not abandoned. The Father is with me. I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.” Jesus said these things. Then, raising his eyes in prayer, he said: Father, it’s time. Display the bright splendor of your Son so the Son in turn may show your bright splendor. You put him in charge of everything human so he might give real and eternal life to all in his care. And this is the real and eternal life: That they know you, the one and only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you sent. I glorified you on earth by completing down to the last detail what you assigned me to do. And now, Father, glorify me with your very own splendor, the very splendor I had in your presence before there was a world.

John 16:31-17:5

Peace is not pretending the road will be smooth; it is knowing trouble does not get the final word. In John 16:31–17:5 (MSG), Jesus faces betrayal, scattering, suffering, and the cross without allowing any of it to separate Him from His purpose. Engaging In The Holy means staying connected to who God called you to be when life gets bumpy and people do not always stay for the ride. Living High And Lifted Up means looking beyond the brokenness until you can still see purpose, possibility, and glory on the other side. Our Black communities know how to turn trouble into testimony, but our future requires more than surviving what tried to break us; we must build from what we learned. Dream Big, because trouble can interrupt your plans without canceling your purpose. Decide To Become unshaken by the bumps, and Demonstrate Your Power by finishing what you were sent here to do.
