I am the LORD, your Holy One, the creator of Israel, your King.

Thus saith the LORD, which maketh a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters;

Which bringeth forth the chariot and horse, the army and the power; they shall lie down together, they shall not rise: they are extinct, they are quenched as tow.

Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old.

Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?

I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

Isaiah 43:15-19

The next move of God may not look anything like the last one, so do not let yesterday's miracle become today's limitation. In Isaiah 43:15–19 (KJV), God declares, “Behold, I will do a new thing,” reminding us that Engaging The Holy means becoming attentive enough to recognize what is already beginning to “spring forth.” What is High And Lifted Up is a life that sits with the vision until we can honor where we have been without requiring our future to look like our past. Our communities honor our ancestors best not by simply repeating what they built, but by carrying their courage forward to create new pathways for Black families, institutions, businesses, neighborhoods, and generations to flourish. Dream Big, because God can make a way where your experience tells you no road exists. Decide To Become someone flexible enough to recognize the new thing and mature enough to release what no longer serves the vision. Demonstrate Your Power by noticing what is springing forth, putting your hands to it, and helping your family and community build pathways through places once called impossible.
