The slacker wants it all and ends up with nothing, but the hard worker ends up with all that he longed for.
Proverbs 13:4 (TPT)
We know what it’s like to want more while feeling stretched thin by life’s demands. Proverbs 13:4 (The Passion Translation) tells us that desire without discipline stays empty, but Focused effort leads to deep satisfaction. Focus is the bridge between what you hope for and what you’re willing to work toward. To live High And Lifted Up is to aim your energy higher than excuses and lower than nothing less than purpose. For Black people and our communities, this is a reminder that diligence is not about grinding ourselves down, but about honoring the gifts God has placed within us. When your Focus sharpens, your hands move with intention and confidence. This wisdom reaches every generation, calling us to dream boldly and act faithfully.
