And he rose up that night, and took his two wives, and his two womenservants, and his eleven sons, and passed over the ford Jabbok. And he took them, and sent them over the brook, and sent over that he had.
And Jacob was left alone; and there wrestled a man with him until the breaking of the day.
Genesis 32:22-24
The power of investigating what God desires of you is critical to you facing your impossibilities and/or the darkness that you perceive exists before you; it is very much a part of your Dis-covering Process. Wrestle with God, wrestle with His Word for your life, wrestle with what is before to tease out what God is up to in your life. If we are to discover and recover our Hidden Manna, we must be willing to wrestle with whatever it is before us and not let it go until God blesses us, revealing Himself and who He has created us to be. Jacob faced what he believed was his greatest nightmare, a nightmare he made and was responsible for, but at the leading and guiding of God, he had to return to his brother, for which he stole his birthright and in it found his Hidden Manna. When Jacob faced his reality, he chose to wrestle with God, wrestling with what God was up to. As a result, his name was changed, history was made, God was revealed, and so the God-created Jacob became Israel, the father of God’s people, His nation.
Thank Pastor, and I will continue to wrestle with God for his purpose for my life, and any harm I have done to someone I am asking God to Forgive me of my sins, and help me to learn from it and move on with him.
