I shall see him, but not now: I shall behold him, but not nigh:
there shall come a Star out of Jacob, and a Sceptre shall rise out of Israel,
and shall smite the corners of Moab, and destroy all the children of Sheth.
Numbers 24:17
Balaam speaks a word he doesn’t fully control, revealing a future light that cannot be stopped or ignored. The Hidden Manna here is that God’s promises shine even through unexpected voices and unlikely moments. This star points to hope that rises in dark times, reminding us that God always has illumination prepared ahead of crisis. Shine means trusting that God’s light is already on the way, even when the night feels long. The promise didn’t appear instantly, but it was sure—and history would catch up to it. Today, let this verse anchor your faith: God’s light is not random, delayed, or fragile. Lift your eyes and keep moving forward, knowing a star is rising, and its glow is meant to guide you—and Shine through you.
