I had fainted, unless I had believed
to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.
Wait on the LORD:
be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
Psalm 27:13-14
David admits he almost gave up—but what kept him going and glowing was the belief that God’s goodness wasn’t just for heaven, but for right now. The Hidden Manna here is that hope is its own kind of light; it keeps your spirit from dimming when life gets heavy. Shine means choosing to trust that God has goodness on the calendar even when your current season feels bleak. Waiting on the Lord isn’t passive—it’s courageous, steady, head-held-high kind of faith. And while you wait, God is strengthening you from the inside, giving you a glow that circumstances can’t steal. Today, hold on to that luminous hope: you will see God’s goodness in the land of the living. Keep Shining—your breakthrough is already on the way.
