Don’t envy evil people or desire their company. For their hearts plot violence, and their words always stir up trouble. A house is built by wisdom and becomes strong through good sense. Through knowledge its rooms are filled with all sorts of precious riches and valuables.
Proverbs 24:1-4 (NLT)
This proverb reminds us that real shine doesn’t come from rolling with the wrong crowd—it comes from building a life that’s grounded, wise, and intentional. The Hidden Manna here is that God strengthens you from the inside out, giving you wisdom that outlasts every shortcut and every counterfeit glow. Shine means choosing the slow, steady build over the quick, flashy crumble. Wisdom lays the foundation, good sense fortifies the walls, and God’s knowledge fills your life with treasures you can’t buy—peace, clarity, purpose, and joy. So don’t waste a second envying people who sparkle on the surface but are empty within. Today, let God develop your shine in the quiet places, the disciplined choices, and the wise decisions. When He builds your house, your life doesn’t just look good—it stays good.
