And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever. But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee.

I Samuel 13:13-14

Saul’s impatience cost him his divine opportunity because he looked at circumstances instead of seeing with faith. When we pray, Lord, I Want To See,” we are asking for spiritual vision that helps us discern the difference between reacting in fear and responding in faith. In that kind of sight lies Hidden Manna—the quiet wisdom and strength that come from waiting on God’s timing and trusting His command. God seeks hearts that see beyond the moment, hearts willing to obey even when the outcome is unclear. Saul’s failure teaches us that seeing through God’s eyes requires surrender, not control. True vision is not just about knowing what to do, but about being in tune with God’s heart as you do it. Today, ask God to give you eyes of faith that see His will clearly and a heart that follows Him completely, even when waiting feels hard.
