And Joshua said unto the people, Ye cannot serve the LORD: for he is an holy God; he is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions nor your sins. If ye forsake the LORD, and serve strange gods, then he will turn and do you hurt, and consume you, after that he hath done you good. And the people said unto Joshua, Nay; but we will serve the LORD. And Joshua said unto the people, Ye are witnesses against yourselves that ye have chosen you the LORD, to serve him. And they said, We are witnesses. Now therefore put away, said he, the strange gods which are among you, and incline your heart unto the LORD God of Israel.
Joshua 24:19-23
Joshua challenges Israel to recognize the seriousness of their commitment to God. Serving the Lord is not a casual choice but a deliberate surrender of the heart and life. In that surrender lies Hidden Manna—the sustaining presence and strength of God that enables His people to remain faithful. True Intentionality requires removing distractions and idols, both seen and unseen, that compete for our devotion. It is not enough to say we will serve Him; our actions must align with our words. Each choice to incline your heart toward the Lord opens the door to fresh grace and renewed strength for your journey. Today, let your commitment be more than a declaration—make it a daily practice of intentionally leaning on God, trusting His hidden provision to keep you steadfast.
