Even though I have received such wonderful revelations from God. So to keep me from becoming proud, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger from Satan to torment me and keep me from becoming proud. Three different times I begged the Lord to take it away. Each time he said, “My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness.” So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. That’s why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong. You have made me act like a fool. You ought to be writing commendations for me, for I am not at all inferior to these “super apostles,” even though I am nothing at all.n I am weak, then I am strong.
II Corinthians 12:7-11 (NLT)
Sometimes in our Seeking, Knocking, and Asking, God doesn’t remove the struggle—but He gives us Hidden Manna in the form of sustaining grace. Paul’s plea for relief was met not with escape, but with divine strength that carried him through. This teaches us that answered prayer isn’t always about changed circumstances—it’s about changed perspective. God’s grace is sufficient, not because the pain disappears, but because His presence becomes more powerful in our weakness. When we keep Knocking, God opens doors of inner strength and spiritual maturity. Today, whatever “thorn” you face, trust that God is not distant—He’s feeding you with quiet strength and enough grace to endure and overcome. Keep Asking, not for the trial to vanish, but for Christ to be revealed more fully through it.
