All around us we observe a pregnant creation. The difficult times of pain throughout the world are simply birth pangs. But it’s not only around us; it’s within us. The Spirit of God is arousing us within. We’re also feeling the birth pangs. These sterile and barren bodies of ours are yearning for full deliverance. That is why waiting does not diminish us, any more than waiting diminishes a pregnant mother. We are enlarged in the waiting. We, of course, don’t see what is enlarging us. But the longer we wait, the larger we become, and the more joyful our expectancy.
Romans 8:24-25 (MSG)
Seeking, Knocking, and Asking often lead us into seasons of waiting—not as punishment, but as preparation. In the waiting, God provides Hidden Manna—quiet strength, deepening hope, and growing trust that sustain us even when answers seem delayed. Like a mother waiting for new life to arrive, we are being enlarged with purpose and spiritual maturity. Hope is not passive—it actively believes that what God has promised will come to pass. The longer we wait in faith, the more God is forming in us what cannot be rushed. Today, don’t fear the waiting—seek with expectation, knock with persistence, ask with boldness, and know that your soul is being fed and stretched in holy ways all along the way.
