“I will send my messenger, who will prepare the way before me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to his temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come,” says the Lord Almighty. But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap. He will sit as a refiner and purifier of silver; he will purify the Levites and refine them like gold and silver. Then the Lord will have men who will bring offerings in righteousness, and the offerings of Judah and Jerusalem will be acceptable to the Lord, as in days gone by, as in former years. “So I will come to put you on trial. I will be quick to testify against sorcerers, adulterers and perjurers, against those who defraud laborers of their wages, who oppress the widows and the fatherless, and deprive the foreigners among you of justice, but do not fear me,” says the Lord Almighty. “I the Lord do not change. So you, the descendants of Jacob, are not destroyed.
Malachi 3:1-6 (NIV)
The truth of life is that you never know what can happen or if you can be fully prepared, on your own, to handle whatever may exist and it is for that reason you must be anchored in the One who is the beginning and end of all things, the author and finisher, God. All Things Do Change Yet God Never Changes and in His presence, we can rely on Him and He assists us to weather the challenges of life, seen and unseen, whether we are prepared or totally naked. Therefore, despite and in spite of our uncertainty or nakedness, we must find ourselves in the presence of God, anchoring ourselves in Him, His worship. Although worship is a lifestyle, we must see our worship as an experience in which we engage God in and through all things; the good and the bad, the pretty and the ugly, the supernatural and the routine, in all things! Thus, our everyday walking around experiences of our lives is worship and as we grip the anchor of worship, a lifestyle that engages God in all things, we center each experience on hearing from God, getting over the clutter, confusion, and chaos to hear God. Inclusive of listening to and for God, demands the pouring out, our candid and honest communication with God about ourselves, becoming living sacrifices so that God can clean and empower us to Open Up The Way to His promises for our life and life more abundantly!
