Colossians 3:1–4 (TPT)Year Theme: HIGH AND LIFTED UP
BIG IDEA (For Everyone)
If you change what you’re looking at,you’ll change how you’re living.
You already have access to a higher reality—now you have to live like it.
This is not about escaping life—it’s about operating from a higher perspective within it.
1. TO THAT WHICH REALIGNS YOU TO YOUR VISION (v.1)
What’s Happening
Christ’s resurrection is your resurrection. That means your life has already been lifted—you just need to realign your vision.
You’re not trying to get higher—you’re learning to see from where you already are.
Cliff Note (Plain Talk)
You don’t need a new life—you need a new view of your life.
Practical Application
Christian: Align your daily life with the reality of who you are in Christ.
Non-Christian: Perspective shapes direction—clarity starts with what you aim at.
Gen Z / Millennials: Don’t let distractions pull you off your bigger vision.
Professionals: Success requires constant realignment, not just effort.
Black Community Word: Our vision has always pushed us beyond limitations placed on us.
This Week: Revisit your goals and make sure they align with who you’re becoming.
2. TO THAT WHICH STRETCHES YOUR REACH (vv.2–3)
What’s Happening
Focus on higher realities, not just everyday distractions.
Growth requires stretching beyond what feels comfortable.
You’ve been disconnected from your old life—now you have to stop living like you’re still there.
Cliff Note (Plain Talk)
You can’t grow if you keep thinking small.
Practical Application
Christian: Let your thinking rise beyond temporary situations.
Non-Christian: Growth happens when you expand your mindset.
Gen Z Word: Level up your thinking—your life will follow.
Families: What you focus on shapes what you become together.
Black Community Word: We’ve always stretched beyond limits and created new possibilities.
This Week: Do one thing that pushes you beyond your comfort zone.
3. TO THAT WHICH REVEALS YOUR PURPOSE (v.4)
What’s Happening
Your life is hidden in Christ—and will be revealed.
Purpose isn’t something you chase—it’s something that unfolds as you align.
When Christ is revealed, your true self is revealed too.
Cliff Note (Plain Talk)
You discover purpose by becoming, not just searching.
Practical Application
Christian: Stay connected to Christ—your purpose flows from that relationship.
Non-Christian: Living with intention reveals direction over time.
Gen Z Word: You don’t have to figure everything out—just keep growing.
Professionals: Purpose-driven work creates deeper fulfillment than success alone.
Black Community Word: Our purpose includes building legacy, impact, and community.
This Week: Take one step that aligns with who you are becoming—not just what you want.
BIG PICTURE TRUTH
You already have access to something higher.
The question is:Are you living from it—or just visiting it?
Looking up is not about leaving reality—it’s about transforming how you engage it.
FINAL WORD
So:
• Realign your vision• Stretch your reach• Reveal your purpose
Because when you shift your perspective…you don’t just see differently—
you start living high and lifted up.
