“EVOLVE” – PT II

Romans 11:33–36 (TPT)Year Theme: HIGH AND LIFTED UP

BIG IDEA (For Everyone)

Knowing God doesn’t box you in—it frees you, grows you, and gives your life direction.

You don’t arrive at God—you walk with God.And the more you know God, the more you become who you were meant to be.

POINT 1: KNOWING GOD IS FREEING (v.33)

What’s Happening

Paul is in awe—God’s wisdom is beyond human control or comprehension.

That means:

  • You don’t have to figure everything out

  • You don’t have to carry everything

  • You don’t have to control everything

Cliff Note (Plain Talk)

Freedom begins when you stop trying to be God.

Practical Application

  • Christian: Release the need to understand every detail—trust God’s wisdom.

  • Non-Christian: Let go of over-control; growth requires flexibility.

  • Gen Z Word: You don’t have to have it all figured out right now.

  • Black Community Word: Our faith has always freed us internally, even when systems tried to confine us externally.

  • This Week: Let go of one worry you’ve been trying to control.

POINT 2: KNOWING GOD IS NOT A DESTINATION—IT’S A JOURNEY (vv.34–35)

What’s Happening

No one fully knows God’s mind or can advise Him.

That means knowing God is not about arriving at perfect understanding—it’s about walking, learning, unlearning, and growing.

Evolution is ongoing.

Cliff Note (Plain Talk)

You don’t “get there”—you grow there.

Practical Application

  • Christian: Stay open to learning and growing spiritually.

  • Non-Christian: Personal growth is a lifelong journey, not a one-time fix.

  • Millennial Word: Healing and growth take time—give yourself grace.

  • Families / Professionals: Growth requires adaptability and humility.

  • Black Community Word: Our story is one of continuous evolution—learning, resisting, rebuilding, rising.

  • This Week: Be intentional about learning something new that stretches your perspective.

POINT 3: KNOWING GOD IS TO LIVE ON PURPOSE (v.36)

What’s Happening

Everything comes from God, is sustained by God, and finds fulfillment in God.

That means your life is not random—it’s intentional.

Purpose is not something you find—it’s something you live into.

Cliff Note (Plain Talk)

When you know who you belong to, you know how to live.

Practical Application

  • Christian: Let your life reflect God’s purpose in how you live, serve, and love.

  • Non-Christian: Live with intention instead of drifting through life.

  • Gen Z Word: Don’t just exist—move with purpose.

  • Black Community Word: Purpose includes legacy—what we build must outlive us.

  • This Week: Make one decision that aligns with the future you believe in.

BIG PICTURE TRUTH

Knowing God:

  • Frees your mind

  • Grounds your journey

  • Directs your life

It’s not about perfection. It’s about progress with purpose.

FINAL WORD

To evolve is not just to grow—it’s to grow with God.

So:

• Let go of control• Stay in the process• Live on purpose

You are not stuck. You are not lost. You are learning God—and becoming in the process.

And that’s how you livehigh and lifted up—not above life, but anchored in something greater.
