DAILY MEDITATION

And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.

II Corinthians 12:7-10

Transformational Living indicates that one has taken the reins of their lives, the good and the bad, and have decided to focus their energy and actions toward that which has been promised. In addition, Transformational Living not only indicates that one has the reins of their lives but thy also see their lives as a witness, model of what can be if one chooses to live in their promises, despite their weaknesses and shortcomings. The twofold mission of all humankind indicates that we are not created to live individually but also to live, being responsible and accountable for the community in which we exist. Serving yourself only generates selfishness and narrow focused actions but to see one self as a part of the whole expands one’s thinking and actions that encompasses your entire space. A boat sails not just because of the water beneath it but also that, which surrounds it. You and I as we seek to build out our well-lived and joy filled life will have our own weaknesses that serve as a reminder that what you achieve and what you will receive is not of your own but a reflection of God –Creator’s favor, despite and in spite of whether we deserve it, we can reap a harvest in which God would be glorified and seen to all as a way despite us to the promise of life and life more abundantly. The difficulties of your life and life’s journey serve as a reminder that your overcoming is not simply because of how good you are or how rightly you choose but instead the favor of God that lifts you despite you and serves as the strength even in your weakness. Occupy Your Promise just not to receive but also to model and turn on the light in the darkness of those in your space for that what should be and that it is achievable, not by one’s own means but by the help of the God-Creator!
