SPRING FORTH NOW 2023
Moses took half of the blood and put it in bowls, and the other half he splashed against the altar. Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read it to the people. They responded, “We will do everything the Lord has said; we will obey.” Moses then took the blood, sprinkled it on the people and said, “This is the blood of the covenant that the Lord has made with you in accordance with all these words.”
Exodus 24:6-8 (NIV)
God's covenant with you and me is sealed by the shedding of blood, ensuring that what we offer and who we are, are covered. Our covering does not mean that we live life recklessly and without responsibility and accountability but instead that we can live life even though we have weaknesses and downright wrongs and yet be reconciled in our willingness to present ourselves and offer up our will for God’s will. Every time you choose to embrace God’s covering, you choose for God to protect you, not Expose you but work with you, working it all out for the good. We are covered and our offerings are covered because on our altar of sacrifice in which we bring our lives into alignment with God, He in turn affirms our Most Favored Status, thus, reconciling us to God’s intent, making us whole to be His witness.
