Life and its challenges often places us at crossroads wandering what to do and how to accomplish what is necessary to bring about life. Life is meant for us to live and to live in the promise of abundance, not just in material things, but also of joy and confidence in the diligent pursuit of that which should be. Because we are limited as humans, it is not always clear in which way we should go or what actions are required and thus, we must have a know-with-all that is beyond us. The know-with-all, to be informed as well as to strategically act, toward our expected end necessitates insight. Insight comes from God the Creator, who knew and knows all things, and as we position ourselves to Receive, we will dis-cover the necessary know how of God to achieve, in our challenges, the abundance of life promised. The modern day prophet, Colin Kaepernick, saw up ahead, whether totally clear of the expected end or not, a need with passion to address the continuous abuse of Black people by police. Kaepernick’s passion positioned himself to diligently pursue a path, taking a knee to call attention, not to a flag or anthem, but the injustice of police brutality perpetrated, specifically, on Black people. Kaepernick leveraged his position and notoriety, sacrificed, for what he believe is the right to live; what greater love than there is for one to lay down their life for their friends. Now, 4 years later, we all are taking knees, even the NFL, who dismissed him for such an act, and interestingly, police are also taking a knee. Kaepernick’s actions were prophetic, insightful, challenging the world and its structures and systems to the promise, the right to live and live life in abundance. In taking a knee, diligently pursue your way out of your present reality to that which should be for your life and life more abundantly. The know how of God necessitates our positioning ourselves to Catch The Wind of God’s Spirit to Receive insight, blowing us into our life and life more abundantly.
