But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building; Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us. For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of an heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh: How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.

Hebrews 9:11-15

The challenges of our lives, including the present symptomatic effect of structural and systematic racism and the COVID-19 pandemic, are overwhelming and for those us who support the humane right to life unencumbered by atrocities and “dis-ease” are struggling for answers and resolutions. With all the advancements we as humanity have achieved through the academics and the lived experiences, we yet find ourselves helpless when it comes to our living together in peace and subduing the unknown medical conditions that threatens our very life. It is obvious that there are things that we alone, without an urgency of inquiry and revelation, cannot conquer. We are humans and often forget our humanity and thus often fail to integrate our human limitations, failings, in our struggle for an answer, a way forward. I, despite and in spite of the atrocities and “dis-eases” of my lived experiences and human limitations, believe in the genuine goodness of humanity. The issues of our life have come to stretch us to the exceedingly, abundantly, more than we can ask or think by the power that worketh in us. There are answers and resolutions but it will not be achieved without a struggle, as Frederick Douglass said, “power concedes nothing without a demand, it never did and it never will . . . [people] may not get all they pay for in this world but they must certainly pay for all they get.” Our honest struggle toward harmony with the will of God, biblical notion of peace by definition, is good as a means to get to answers and eventual resolutions, organically “dis-covering” revelation from the Creator-God, who made all things and knew and knows. As a believer, our inquiry must be with the One who created all things, inquiring with God, we have assistance, beyond the limitations of our humanity which is the presence, power, and secured promise of Christ interceding on our behalf. Christ, our High Priest, working with us as we go before God, taking our questions and frustrations with humility of our limitations and as a direct result, we Receive, we are empowered from within by God’s Spirit to accomplish what God has promised, intended for our life and life more abundantly. We have an eternal inheritance, Receive it and Catch The Wind of God’s Spirit and every one of your questions and frustrations will be resolved, leading and guiding you to your expected end to flourish in the life and life more abundantly promised.
