DAILY MEDITATION

And she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedeshnaphtali, and said unto him, Hath not the Lord God of Israel commanded, saying, Go and draw toward mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun? And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand. And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go: but if thou wilt not go with me, then I will not go. And she said, I will surely go with thee: notwithstanding the journey that thou takest shall not be for thine honour; for the Lord shall sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. And Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh. And Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali to Kedesh; and he went up with ten thousand men at his feet: and Deborah went up with him. Now Heber the Kenite, which was of the children of Hobab the father in law of Moses, had severed himself from the Kenites, and pitched his tent unto the plain of Zaanaim, which is by Kedesh. And they shewed Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam was gone up to mount Tabor. And Sisera gathered together all his chariots, even nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people that were with him, from Harosheth of the Gentiles unto the river of Kishon. And Deborah said unto Barak, Up; for this is the day in which the Lord hath delivered Sisera into thine hand: is not the Lord gone out before thee? So Barak went down from mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him. And the Lord discomfited Sisera, and all his chariots, and all his host, with the edge of the sword before Barak; so that Sisera lighted down off his chariot, and fled away on his feet. But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the host, unto Harosheth of the Gentiles: and all the host of Sisera fell upon the edge of the sword; and there was not a man left.

Judges 4:6-16

When I came out of my slumber and sleep this morning on my lips was the song “Victory belongs to Jesus, Victory belongs to Him,” and as a result had a burst of energy, power within that released me from my depression, frustration, and bewilderment concerning the trials before my life. I arose with no doubt that the struggles were real but my God has given me the victory and sealed it with the very sacrifice of Christ that has won the victory for me before the struggles ever begun. You and I, if we are to Drive Our Narrative, we must declare that this is the day, no matter what it looks like or the facts on the ground, that we have already won and with that assurance, deliverance, victory is ours. I know not where or how but I do know that I have won and with that faith I can boldly shake myself, be freed from the bondage that would entangle me in defeat or living beneath my potential in order that I will LIVE. I have been set free and given the right by favor, grace to overcome and inherit all things God has promised. My declaration that this is the day is symbolic of my decision to LIVE in and through my struggles to the large place, the abundance of life and life more abundantly promised. My assurance, confidence in God who has already won the victory demands a bold faith, courage to undertake and handle whatever faces my life and endangers me from living in the promises of God. My assurance, confidence challenges me in my struggles to go up from what I can see naturally to an insight and vision that is spiritual calling and being in those things that are not as if they were, living in the manifestation of my promise before it manifests in the natural. Thus, I am pricked, set in motion to see the way that God, His Spirit will lead and guide me to my promise, receiving the strategic action that blends my efforts with the power and providence of God to realize and LIVE in my promise of life and life more abundantly. This is day for God has already set everything in motion through my journey, engagements, relationships to deposit in me that which is necessary to LIVE in that which should be for my life. I have won the victory before the battle ever begun for God has put all things in place for me to claim, work the works of my hands, so I may LIVE!
