SPRING FORTH NOW

And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

And it came to pass, as the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us now go even unto Bethlehem, and see this thing which is come to pass, which the Lord hath made known unto us. And they came with haste, and found Mary, and Joseph, and the babe lying in a manger. And when they had seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child. And all they that heard it wondered at those things which were told them by the shepherds.

Luke 2:8-18

God uses our everyday walking around experiences to reveal Himself and give us a testimony, witness so that we may be enabled to Tell It; tell of His presence, power, and promises made available and fulfilled in the life of the willing. The revelation of God is not normally something out of the blue or distance from our everyday experience, God intentionally uses who we are and where we are to reveal Himself, making His Word flesh, real in our lives. In our experiences God freely makes available, gives to us freely all we need to be victorious and what we do with the gift makes the determination of the revelation we will experience and thus, the witness, demonstrative evidence we will possess. As with the birth of Christ, God chose to go to sheepherders, those who provide direction and guidance to sheep so that they may live, to tell the coming of Christ, the Good Shepherd who, as a gift from God to lead and guides us into an eternal and continuous pasture of abundant life. Sheepherders, in that day, were the lowest of professionals and not necessarily trustworthy, however, God chose them. God operates from the bottom up to ensure there is an unquestionable witness, evidence in which it does not matter who you are or where you are in life, He gives the gift of His promise to be fulfilled, if one chooses to go after, to make His Word flesh, real in your life. All God requires is our willingness, choice to be His witness, to Catch The Wind of God’s Spirit and flow right into our experiences with the presence, power, and promises of God, lying in our manger, the place from which we are willing to draw from, our gift on demand to Tell It!
