Say it loud, I am Black and I am proud is not just a call to individuality but also to community, Ubuntu, “I am, because you are and you are, because I am. Ubuntu is the traditional African concept of community and is connected to our origin, including the space of our creation. It is deeply rooted in our understanding of creation, for God created male and female and placed them in a space in which life flowed internally, within that space and outwardly to all of creation. In Genesis, the creation story reveals that water, symbolic of life, flowed underground in the Garden of Eden, which unconverted data reveals was located in Africa, and from there, rivers emerged to the rest of God’s creation. In addition, the charge to Adam and Eve was to dress, take care of this space, community-Ubuntu, the origin of civilization. We, African and African Diaspora people, are fearfully and wonderfully made in a space where we live, literally and figuratively, as a direct result of our creation we have been chosen to bring life to all. In the space of our creation, watered flowed underground first and then from the Garden, our space, rivers emerged flowing into the entire of creation. We as African people have nothing to be ashamed of or feel inadequate in any way, Accumulate the more of the revelation of who God is and who He has created us to be and Soar. We are communal, Ubuntu people, from our origin and for that reason God ordained us and our space to be a place of realization, refuge, and revelation to develop, nurture and sustain all of creation. In respond to the threats on Jesus’ life, God instructed Jospeh to take Jesus to Egypt, to Africa the cradle of civilization in which all life flowed as symbolic of the power of Ubuntu, place of community, for the realization, refuge and revelation of the promise, anointing of the Messiah to spring forth. We as African and African Diaspora people should be confident and self-assured and say it loud, we are Black and we are proud, for in the space of our community, there is realization, refuge, and revelation to Soar, causing us and all of creation to rise high and increase rapidly in the fulfillment of God’s promises!
