Being a mother is a significant and critical role in what God is up to in the world. God, Himself, Mothered us before even creating us in the sense of putting in place everything we need to succeed with His intent to be fruitful and multiply. It is God’s Mothered nature in which He reveals himself through motherhood. Motherhood is not in competition with fatherhood nor is it subordinate to it, instead it is complimentary to it. The nurturing, loving, caring spirit of mothers is a Most Favored Status. In this season in which societal forces try to pit one against another, reject it and see through the lens of how one another compliments and advances the promise of life and life more abundantly. Remember you need not be like anyone else nor do you need to be subordinate or dominated to anyone else to be; live, move, and have your being in God’s promise to be fruitful and multiply, having life and life more abundantly!
