But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother's womb, and called me by his grace, To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:

The power of God’s Spirit operating in our lives is the very strength needed to overcome the desires of our flesh. Our flesh tends to long for that which pleases and not necessarily that which benefits and promotes us toward our life and life more abundantly. The struggle between our flesh and spirit is similar to the voice of our mother’s correction and admonition when we are faced with doing what we want to do as opposed to what she has told us. If we are to be true to the spirit for which our mothers provided we would choose their advice, and as a signal which ensures we avoid the dire consequences we would face if we went contrary to their counsel. The same is true in our overall life, God has Mothered us before we were shaped and formed in our mother’s womb and placed inside of us His Spirit that reminds, convicts, and leads us into all truth even that which will overcome the strong desires of our flesh. Heed the Spirit of God given and is with you so that you should choose life and blessings in and through all of your life’s experiences and walk in your Most Favored Status.
