SPRING FORTH NOW - DAILY MEDITATION

And they shall build the old wastes, they shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the waste cities, the desolations of many generations.

And strangers shall stand and feed your flocks,

and the sons of the alien shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.

But ye shall be named the Priests of the Lord: men shall call you the Ministers of our God:

ye shall eat the riches of the Gentiles, and in their glory shall ye boast yourselves. For your shame ye shall have double; and for confusion they shall rejoice in their portion: therefore in their land they shall possess the double: everlasting joy shall be unto them.

Isaiah 61:4-7

You and I posses the power to transform our lives and spaces to that which God intends; a life and spaces that are fruitful and will multiply for our good in which our cups run over with abundant life. The choice is ours to live in God’s intent by receiving and embracing the Word of God for our lives and to take action on that which we believe to flourish in His promises. Taking action on what should be dares us to act in a way that often will call us to sacrifice, to put on the line the very thing we seek to have by a Flow that denies and rejects the status quo of our present realities for that which should be. Sacrificing by no means is easy, it challenges our very being as it is, however, it is necessary to become what we should be as promised by God. Time after time and incident after incident we as Black people are challenged in our present society that sees our Blackness; the embodiment of who we are; our community, culture, body, and being as something to be afraid of leading to a barrage of attacks on our lives and spaces. The brarage of attacks is exhausting to the point that we either decide to accept things as they are or challenge us to act counter to the status quo in which we exist, testing the proposition of what we believe should be in the face of discomfort, requiring our sacrifice, struggle. Frederick Douglass said, “Power concedes nothing without a demand." God has gifted us with everything we need, His Spirit; want what we have now and it will expand, becoming fruitful and multiplying. Catch The Wind of God’s Spirit within and His “with you” that blows you through the obstacles, difficulties, complexities, mountains, valleys of your life and space, releasing the water of life to Flow out of your belly restoring and regenerating the wastelands of your life and spaces to the intent of God for life and life more abundantly. Flow and let it overflow. You and I are ministers, servants of God, and as we choose to act on His Word, we transform our lives and spaces to that which God has intended for life and life more abundantly!
