And when he came unto Lehi, the Philistines shouted against him: and the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him, and the cords that were upon his arms became as flax that was burnt with fire, and his bands loosed from off his hands. And he found a new jawbone of an ass, and put forth his hand, and took it, and slew a thousand men therewith. And Samson said, With the jawbone of an ass, heaps upon heaps, with the jaw of an ass have I slain a thousand men. And it came to pass, when he had made an end of speaking, that he cast away the jawbone out of his hand, and called that place Ramathlehi.

Judges 15:14-17

The cause of your flourishing, if you will Receive, is the power within that breaks the chains of your circumstances. That which you believe should be as a focus for your energy and thought life, empowers you both physically and spiritually to press forward through your circumstances. When you are focused, spiritually, mentally, and physically, one considers your entire space as an opportunity for you to advance. In the midst of the challenges to our Blackness, the circumstances of our present reality, there is an opportunity, if focused, to utilize both our spirit and space to seize whatever is before us and use it for our good. Do not allow your anger and circumstances cloud your judgement and/or deflate your spirit, use it as fuel for your focused energy and thought life to Receive from the Spirit of God that which will be advantageous toward your promise of flourishing. Samson, made weak by his circumstances, found strength in spirit, mind, and body which empowered him from within to break the chains of that which constrained his liberty and in his space used a jawbone of an ass to create a pathway forward. Catch The Wind of God’s Spirit blowing even in the midst of the adversities and complexities of your circumstances and allow God’s Spirit to control your spirit, mind, and actions to achieve that which should be for your flourishing in the life and life more abundantly promised!
