SPRING FORTH NOW - DAILY MEDITATION

Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did.

John 2:23

Showing up at critical times is key to achieving the transformation desired. You cannot expect your life or the circumstances of your experiences to change if you are not willing to show up. Please note that you are not going to win or overcome your circumstances by default. Being present in the moment of your circumstances is critical to you being determined to win. Often we find ourselves in positions in which we have given up, feel hopeless and thus resign to what is. It is in the moments of our resignation from the circumstances of our lives that gives air to the circumstances and as a result they ballon to overcome what we believe should be. Stand for what you believe should be, not in the background or behind someone else or thing advocating for you, show up, for it is in your willingness to be present and confront that turns change into transformation. Change is coming but what that change will look like in the now and future is best determined by you and your lived experiences being present, serving as the architect of what shall be, the transformation that causes you to flourish. Our present struggle against structural and systematic racism, anti-Blackness polices and systems of police engagement with and in our community, needs our presence, lived experiences otherwise it may just be change but it will not be transformed for our good. People, places, and things generally, if it is not their lived experiences, take positions that make them feel comfortable in the present and give very little thought to the long-term. If we as Black people embrace and Receive our Blackness, humanity, we cannot allow someone else to show up and advocate and change the wheels of structures and systems for us but instead we must be present in the moment and demand as well as become the architects of the transformation desired that serves both our short-term as well as long-term desired end to flourish as Black people in our Blackness. Jesus shows up at the celebration of the passover, the commemoration of reconciliation from death to life, the passing over of the death spirit in their place of bondage, releasing them forward to their land flowing with milk and honey. In this critical moment, Jesus, the Anointed One, purposed to be the reconciler to the promise of life and life more abundantly, showed up in the passover celebration and was Himself the sacrificial lamb and as a result many believed and was converted to His way. You must show up and be you, Catch The Wind of God’s Spirit in you and your lived experiences, turning the wheels of the structures and systems of your life; advocating and orchestrating that which causes you to flourish and live in the life and life more abundantly promised!
