So—join the company of good men and women,

keep your feet on the tried-and-true paths.

It’s the men who walk straight who will settle this land, the women with integrity who will last here. The corrupt will lose their lives; the dishonest will be gone for good.

The Negro National Anthem prays, “God of our weary years, God of our silent tears, thou who has by thy might, lead us into the light, keep us forever In thy path we pray. Lest our feet stray from the places, our God, where we met thee. Lest our hearts drunk with the wine of the world we forget thee. Shadowed beneath our hands, may we forever stand, true to our God and true to our native land.” Our native land, our communal space as Black people, cannot be defined simply by the geographical boundaries of our homeland Africa, but also by our connection as communal and connected spaces, the spirit of Black people. It is the spirit of who we are as Black people in which we create, by engaging the Creator dwelling within, to develop and execute strategy that makes us true to our authentic selves and to our communal connected spaces. The record is clear, one of our the greatest achievements, including but not limited to the Civil Rights Movement amid adverse structures and systems, we created, developed, and executed a tried-and-true path. The anthem of the Civil Rights Movement, a battle cry for justice and equality around the world, ”we shall overcome,” originated with us, developed by us, led by us, and initially executed by us. Lest we forget, we can do it again, taking the lead for our flourishing in which we are true to our authenticity as a great people from a great space, I dare say the origin of all civilization! In the beginning, the Creator-God Spirit brooded over the deep, the chaos and darkness, and out of it He transformed the deep into heaven and earth as well as formed humankind to be a living soul, a tried-and-true path that is available to you. Catch The Wind of God’s Spirit and Receive the power to create out of the deep your heaven and earth as well as breathe life into humanity!
