DAILY MEDITATION

Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate.

I Timothy 6:17-18

The life and life more abundantly God promised is not one that is lived in heaven or the by and by but a full abundant life in our right now experiences. Abundant life implies that we LIVE in such a way that we experience the overflow of God’s promises to and for our lives. However, living in the overflow consistently is complicated because of the natural challenges of life that do come, yet in the midst of those challenges we have the promise of God in which we experience life and life more abundantly. It is God’s desire that we should Live and Enjoy. How do we Live and Enjoy through the difficult, complex, and challenges of life, we do so by being complete in our reliance on God to lead and guide us, navigate us through life every step of the way. The more we turn our life and its direction over to the Spirit of God the more we can, despite and in spite of life’s challenges, Live and Enjoy. We cannot allow what we have or what we do not have control but rely on God for everything. Thus, life and its challenges are to be worn loosely, loose enough that we are flexible and adjustable that God can mold and shape us in the challenge for the joy of His promise through the challenge. As we wear life loosely, we do not take on the attitude of just going with the flow but instead we have heighten sensibilities to the move and flow of the Spirit, fueling our expectation, hope, faith that all things do work together for the good for those who love God and who are called according to His purpose. We can rejoice in and through life’s challenges for they cannot be compared to the glory of God which shall be revealed in and through us, witnessing and willingly sharing the love, power, and presence of God that makes us rich in all things and thus, we Live and Enjoy the life and life more abundantly that is ours, now!
