DAILY MEDITATION

“The God who made the world and everything in it, this Master of sky and land, doesn’t live in custom-made shrines or need the human race to run errands for him, as if he couldn’t take care of himself. He makes the creatures; the creatures don’t make him. Starting from scratch, he made the entire human race and made the earth hospitable, with plenty of time and space for living so we could seek after God, and not just grope around in the dark but actually find him. He doesn’t play hide-and-seek with us. He’s not remote; he’s near. We live and move in him, can’t get away from him! One of your poets said it well: ‘We’re the God-created.’ Well, if we are the God-created, it doesn’t make a lot of sense to think we could hire a sculptor to chisel a god out of stone for us, does it? “For God’s glory I will do anything, just to see you, just to own you as my King” must be the declaration for you and I to LIVE. To Live By The Spirit sets our attention and focus on God and His way in and though all things, including life itself and its challenges. God did not design life and us to be focused and totally consumed by what is but to always be forward thinking, looking, and moving through it all. It is the wind, His Spirit that allows us to get pass what is and make our way to what should be. God created us in His image and He is a Spirit that is boundless in order to achieve His purpose, even nothingness could not bind God, He stepped right into nothingness and brooded over the deep of it and created out of it. You and I have the same power through the Spirit to take nothing and make what God intended through it with the assistance and support of the wind, God’s Spirit. God is with us, reaffirmed in the coming of Jesus, Emmanuel, God with us is always near and in proximity to wherever we are. It is up to you and I to choose to have our being, live and breath with and in Him and His Spirit. Our choice is not one that is limited but boundless, and He is not far, no matter what it looks or feels like, but near because we have chosen to diligently pursue Him and His promise of life and life more abundantly in a personal way, to LIVE! Live By The Spirit and catch the wind of God’s promises for your life and LIVE, be and have your being in Him, be released from any and all things into what is the oneness with Him, the fulfillment of His promise of life and life more abundantly!
