DAILY MEDITATION

For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.

Titus 3:3-7

The natural inclinations of our flesh sways in the wrong direction, separation from God’s will and purpose for our lives, our ability to LIVE in the promises of God. The sway of the flesh ultimately places before us the ability to be and do what we want to as if life and everything about it is totally under our control. The deception of the serpent to Eve was that if she disobeyed God, ultimately separating herself from God, she would be like God, having control over her own life and destiny. Without question, God does free us through the sacrifice of Jesus for us to choose to LIVE for God and in the fulfillment of His promises that brings about life and life more abundantly. The operative word is that we are free to choose life as authored and finished by our believing in and through God. We are free but free to choose God’s way and will for our life. The flesh naturally is inclined to take that freedom to another level of independence as oppose to interdependence, satisfying our own desires. Humility and allegiance to the Creator-God, however, frees us to the way God has prepared and is made available to us that not only fulfills HIs purpose for our lives but also grants unto us the desires of our heart. The question for each of us is do we trust God to give unto us that which we desire. Our desire is shaped by our heart and the more we give ourselves, the giving factor, to God and His way we will find that our desires will line up with God’s purpose and plan for our lives, which is much better than we could ever think or imagine. God’s desire is for us to be delivered, saved to the life and life more abundantly, lacking nothing. The transformation of our heart to the will and purpose of God is a process and even though our flesh wars with and through the process, God has given us the power and ability to Live Under Grace that makes up for our weaknesses and gives us access to His strength to overcome and inherit everything God promised, fulfilling our ultimate desires.
