DAILY MEDITATION

Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death. But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.

Romans 7:4-6

We are free because of God’s gift of His Son, free from the rules and regulations that will cast us into guilt and shame to reconciliation from our sins to the life and life more abundantly promised by God. Sin is simply whatever separates you from the life and life more abundantly promised by God for your life and sin is susceptible to us all but because of God we have the right to overcome it and LIVE. Living Fully releases us from our own shortcomings and lack of capacity to fall to the temptations of life not because we deserve it or that it is unimportant but instead because of the grace, favor afforded to us by God. Embrace and accept the favor of God for your life not to continue or be comfortable in your sin but instead to turn from your sin to the opportunity of life God offers. The struggle to be one with God, overcoming that which separates you, is what God requires and with your willingness to turn from and turn to God, despite and in spite of your sin, God sets you free and releases you into your abundance. I wish I could take back so many things I have done and said but I cannot but what I can do is accept God’s gift and create out of my mess that which should be as promised by God. The more I turn to God, releasing myself from my imposed separation from Him to his assistance to be one with Him, I overcome and inherit all things, the fullness of joy and in that space, His presence, at His right hand I receive pleasures forever more. I tried to dot every “i” and cross every “t” but time and time again I failed, so today I am more focused on turning to, building a relationship with God who smiles on me, forgives me and makes me one with His promises. To LIVE is to be released from guilt and shame and waddling in separation by getting up and shaking the dust from your feet, turning to a newness of spirit by pursuing God, His promises and He has promised to forgive and give us favor in order to LIVE!
